The above artwork was painted by ex pupil Millie Naylor who has just completed her art degree. These are on display in our Activity Studio.
As well as Key Stage Saints, when the children move into Key Stage Two they are all put into House teams.
At Saint Anthony’s we believe it is important to demonstrate how ‘We Grow and Learn with Jesus’ in all that we do. This includes our love and pride for our House Saints.
The children can earn house points in class for various different things, these points are then added at the end of the week for each class in the key stage. These points are announced at the end of the week in our weekly Key Stage 2 assembly.
For some school events, such as, Sports Day and Inter House Tournaments the children will compete in their House teams. There is a special trophy that is awarded to the winning house for both Lisbon and Padua.
In 2022 we changed our Houses to reflect and represent the diversity in our school community. The Saints that were chosen were carefully researched to ensure that they truly reflected the mission of our school. The start of the academic year in 2022 welcomed with it our new House saints, Saint Teresa, Saint John Paul, Saint Hildegard and Saint Kizito.
Each year, two House Captains and two Vice Captains are voted from our Year 6 children to represent each of our 4 Houses.
This year, our House Captains and Vice Captains are as follows:
Lisbon Captain | Lisbon Vice Captain | Padua Captain | Padua Vice Captain | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Saint Teresa | Emmanuel | Isabella | Isabella | Florence |
Saint Kizito | Laia | Oscar | Sierra | Layla |
