Parents

St Anthony’s is a family. For children thrive we all must work together; teachers, teaching assistants, parents and the wider school community. We strive to include parents in our children’s learning as much as possible.

Sports Day Picnic

After sports day all the children’s families were invited back to the nursery garden to enjoy a picnic together.

Cultural Day

The children all came into school wearing clothes that reflected their cultural background.  It was lovely to see so many different outfits, dresses and colours!  We were also lucky enough to have two mummies come in and visit us.  Katie’s mummy talked to us about Ireland and Deshawn’s mummy talked to us about India and gave each child their own packed lunch full of Indian sweet treats! Thank you also to Emalyn’s mum who gave the class different Indian snacks to try too!

Reading Celebration Sessions.

Nursery and Reception children were lucky enough to welcome into school some mummies and daddies as part of our Reading Celebration Sessions. The parents did an amazing job engaging the children, asking questions and making them laugh. We even heard some stories in different home languages. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered.
