Weekly Class Updates

Epiphany Party

Year 1 had a lovely afternoon celebrating the Epiphany. The children wore crowns that they made over the Christmas break and decorated crown biscuits. The children made star medallions to show how they can be a guiding light. A lovely time was had by all!

Moving Pictures with Year 4

Year 4 created some moving picture books based on nursery rhymes. Then they came to show them to us. We really enjoyed seeing the different parts that moved. Thank you Year 4!

Clay Ammonites

As part of our Science topic we have been learning about fossils. We created our own ammonites using clay.

Spiral artwork

In our art topic the children have been learning to make different types of spirals. We have been using small finger movements and large arm movements to create different sizes and we have used different medias as well.

Tring Museum

As part of our Science topic where we learn how to group animals we went for a school trip to Tring Museum. Whilst we were there we were able to look at the different exhibits and take part in a workshop which helped us to learn how to group invertebrates.

Special Assembly with Fr. Alex

We were very lucky to have a special assembly with Fr. Alex where he talked about the different parts of the Mass and why we have each part.

Bekonscot Model Village

As part of our History topic about toys we went to visit Bekonscot where we took part in a ‘History of Toys’ workshop. During this workshop we were lucky to handle toys from the 1930s and compare them to toys that some of us have today. Then we were able to have a look at the model village as well.
