In accordance with our mission statement, it is our aim that pupils should grow in confidence and self-esteem. We aim to provide experiences and opportunities for all of the children, which will enable them to access a broad and balanced curriculum and to enjoy a positive and happy life.
It is our objective that each pupil should be encouraged and taught in a manner sensitive to their individual needs so that they may achieve their maximum potential as a learner and a person. We recognise that each child is a unique individual with a unique contribution to make to the life of the school.

Admission arrangements for children with disabilities
Please see our Admissions Page for further details and policies.
The Governing Board is responsible for determining the school’s admissions policies. No pupil will be denied admission based on their special educational needs or disabilities. In accordance with the SEN and Disability Act, we will not discriminate against disabled children and will take all reasonable measures to ensure effective educational support is provided.
At St Anthony’s, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all children are welcome, regardless of any disabilities. We will make every effort to support and embrace any child who wishes to join our community. Our admissions process will adhere to the policy established by the school’s Governing Body to ensure disabled pupils are not treated less favourably than others.
The school is designed with features to support disabilities. There is a flat, accessible entrance on the front left-hand side of the building to ensure convenient access for wheelchair users and those with walking aids. A lift is available to help wheelchair users reach the upper floor of the St. Francis building. The school is equipped with two disabled toilets, which provide extra space for children with physical impairments and limited mobility. There are wide corridors for ease of movement. For children who require an intimate care plan, a detailed plan will be created to outline their specific needs and the support provided by the school.
